Boxing A Pelo is an afternoon event at the intersection of boxing and contemporary dance, held at Boogieland gym in Amsterdam Noord as part of the World Pride Amsterdam 2026 programme. The afternoon brings together a workshop led by Fernando Troya and Jay Muller, a performance of Un-boxing (a solo work in development exploring boxing, gooning and identity) and a panel discussion with four guests and a host. Together the three elements explore what boxing and dance share: the fetishised body as site of discipline, creativity, sexuality and identity. The event is rooted in queer community and open to all: artists, athletes, and curious audiences alike. There will be drinks!
